How to read a bridge result

• A UL style is a certified construction, not a translatable code. Appliance wiring material is tested and certified to ANSI/UL 758, and each approved construction receives its own style number. A Chinese wire carries no UL style unless its maker holds that Recognition.
• UL 758 alone says nothing about ratings. The standard spans operating temperatures from a minimum 60 °C dry rating, voltages from a minimum 30 V, and conductor sizes from 50 AWG to 2000 kcmil. Only the style number carries the temperature and voltage.
• The Chinese series is partitioned by temperature, not material. JB/T 6213 “flexible cables and cords for winding leads of electric motors” runs in six parts split by maximum continuous conductor temperature: 70 °C, 90 °C, 125 °C and 150 °C, 180 °C, plus general provisions and a Freon-resistant part.
